Vadym Popko has been appointed Honorary Legal Adviser to the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Ukraine.
Professor of the Department of Comparative and European Law at the Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, attorney and Managing Partner of the Bar Association “Braty Popko & Partners,” Vadym Popko has been appointed Honorary Legal Adviser to His Majesty’s Ambassador to Ukraine, Neil Crompton.
This appointment authorizes him to provide legal advice to the British Embassy in Ukraine and to the Ambassador personally.
Vadym Popko commented on the appointment in a Facebook post as follows:
“In fact, this is a great mark of trust from His Majesty’s Ambassador, the entire diplomatic mission of the United Kingdom in Ukraine, and the United Kingdom as a whole, for which I am sincerely grateful. At the same time, it is a great responsibility. For me, this is not only an important step in my career, but also a stage in strengthening the ties between our states. It is proof and recognition that Ukrainian law and Ukrainian lawyers are reliable partners at the highest level,” he wrote.
The professor also expressed his gratitude to the team of the Department of Comparative and European Law at the Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, as well as to the staff of his law firm, for their cooperation, emphasizing that this appointment is a collective achievement and a contribution to our future Victory and the fight for human rights.
